Inspired by the grandeur of Malham Cove.

When I was young, I learnt what freedom felt like — open fields, wild air, no expectations. But the older I got, the more I realised how often women are told to shrink, soften, or stay small.

This painting is my rebellion.

It’s about claiming space.

It’s about remembering that wildness isn’t something to hide — it’s something to celebrate.

My process begins with immersion in the landscape, walking, observing, and sketching to absorb the textures, rhythms, and expansiveness of the natural world. I’m less interested in literal representation and more in capturing the feeling of wildness and freedom that the land holds.
