Depth Held Lampshade

This shade is made from my original mixed media painting Wide Horizons, Depth Held, part of the Standing Ground collection. It holds a moment on the open coast where the sky presses low and dark over the hills, and the water beneath answers with an unexpected glow of turquoise. It is a painting about carrying depth quietly: the storm above, the stillness below, both true at once.

Lit or unlit, the shade brings that atmosphere into your room. In daylight the deep blues and soft greys feel calm and grounding. Switch the lamp on and the turquoise comes alive, warming the whole palette and revealing the layered marks and textures of the original painting. It suits both a lamp base and a ceiling pendant, and sits beautifully in a living room, bedroom or hallway where you want a sense of space and quiet drama.

All our lampshades are printed on cotton linen or velvet and made to order by hand.
