WILEY WINDY MOORS

I was inspired by a week out sketching in Devon on Dartmoor with green hills and gorse bushes, scorching hot weather, trying to stay in the shade and take in the majestic scenery whilst sitting on rocks.

SAVAGE MOORS

Grey skies, bracken, mist, wind – all the elements resulting in a painting which is exciting and raw.

MISTY MOORS

I spent a week in The Peak District, getting soaked, walking in the landscape, seeing the misty rain descend – making it moodier and more majestic; this was the resulting piece when I got home.

HIGH PEAKS

High Peaks was inspired after spending a week in The Peak District, soaking in the glorious views, out painting in all weathers, and loving the magnificence of the place.

The autumn colours were coming out and I wanted to show the wildness and rawness of the place by working instinctively without photo reference to try to capture it from memory and feel.
